Every car on the road is a Mercedes
Wishful thinking on our part? Perhaps. But more important, no matter what kind of vehicle you drive, you’re probably enjoying technology that Mercedes Benz developed first. Since 1886, when we patented the very first automobile, we’ve been continually testing, designing and innovating to make automobiles better. In fact, Mercedes Benz has pioneered, patented and introduced thousands of advances in performance, safety and convenience — many of which eventually show up on virtually every automobile. Along the way, we’ve created items that many might take for granted now, but were revolutionary when they were introduced, including fuel injection, 4-wheel independent suspension — even the honeycomb radiator design of 1901 that still makes efficient engine-cooling possible today. You’ll also find state-of-the-art safety features like our ESP stability control and emergency-sensing Brake Assist. We’re flattered that so many of our competitors adopt our technology. So if you’re wondering what all cars will have in the future, all you have to do is see what’s on a Mercedes today.

The Mercedes-Benz EQB, produced from 2021 to the present, is a versatile all-electric compact SUV offering premium luxury and a rare seven-seat configuration for families.
The Mercedes-Benz EQB exists as a single generation (model code X243) based on the combustion-powered GLB-Class platform. It first entered production in late 2021 for the European and Chinese markets, followed by its North American launch in 2022. Built in Kecskemét, Hungary, and Beijing, China, the initial release featured the EQB 300 4MATIC and EQB 350 4MATIC dual-motor variants. In 2023, Mercedes-Benz introduced a significant mid-life facelift for the 2024 model year, featuring a revised "Star Pattern" black panel grille, updated interior technology with the latest MBUX generation, and improved efficiency. This update also solidified the presence of the EQB 250+ long-range variant, which utilizes a larger 70.5 kWh battery compared to the standard 66.5 kWh pack. As of 2026, the EQB remains a core part of the Mercedes-EQ lineup, serving as the electric bridge for buyers transitioning from the traditional GLB range.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE, produced from 2022 to the present, is a dedicated executive electric vehicle offering aerodynamic design and high-tech luxury in sedan and SUV body styles.
The Mercedes-Benz EQE exists as a single generation built on the specialized EVA2 electric architecture. It is available in two distinct body styles: the V295 Sedan and the X294 SUV. The EQE Sedan (V295) entered global production in early 2022, following its 2021 debut, and is manufactured in Bremen, Germany, and Beijing, China. The EQE SUV (X294) began production in late 2022 at the Tuscaloosa plant in the United States and in Beijing, with global deliveries expanding throughout 2023. While a mid-life update was originally planned for 2026 to introduce 800-volt charging technology, recent strategy shifts suggest the EQE nameplate may be integrated into the traditional E-Class family as a full electric successor around 2027. Currently, the lineup includes the standard EQE 300, 350, and 500 variants, along with high-performance Mercedes-AMG 43 and 53 models.
