S-800

The Honda S800, produced from 1966 to 1970, was a high-revving sports car that showcased Honda’s motorcycle-inspired engineering and became the brand's first 100mph road vehicle.

The Honda S800 existed as a single generation with two distinct technical series during its four-year production run. The initial series (1966–1968) featured an innovative independent rear suspension with chain drive, while the updated S800M (1968–1970) transitioned to a conventional live-axle rear end and added front disc brakes to meet international safety standards. Available in both roadster and fixed-roof coupe body styles, the S800 was exported to Europe and Australia but never officially sold in North America.
