The Peugeot 403 is considered a single generation that received minor updates throughout its production run. First Series: 1955-1959. Second Series: 1959-1966 (This period saw the removal of the iconic lion hood ornament for safety reasons, and minor mechanical and cosmetic changes). While the sedan ended production in 1966, a ute/pickup version was produced until 1967. The 403 was also assembled in other countries including Australia, Argentina, and New Zealand.
