Denza, established in 2010 as a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz, aimed to deliver premium electric vehicles to the Chinese market. The brand launched its first model, the Denza EV, in 2014. In 2024, Mercedes-Benz exited the partnership, making Denza a wholly owned subsidiary of BYD.

The Denza B5 (also known as the Fangchengbao Bao 5/Leopard 5 in China) is a new model and is currently in its first generation. First Generation (Bao 5 / Denza B5): November 2023–Present. Note: The vehicle was launched in China in late 2023 and is being rolled out to global markets (like Australia and Europe) starting in 2025 under the Denza B5 name.

The Denza/Fangchengbao Bao 8/Denza B8 B8 is an upper-large luxury plug-in hybrid SUV, built on a ladder frame for off-road capability and launching globally from 2025, with production starting in 2024.

First Generation (Fangchengbao Bao 8/Denza B8): 2024–Present. China Market Name: Fangchengbao Bao 8 (Launch 2024). Export Market Name: Denza B8 (Launch in Middle East/Africa from late 2025; Australia/New Zealand from early 2026). Note: Denza is BYD's premium brand, using the B8 name for the international version of the Fangchengbao Bao 8.
