Hummer began as a civilian version of the military Humvee in 1992, built by AM General and later acquired by General Motors. Known for bold, rugged styling and off-road prowess, Hummer gained popularity in the 2000s. Discontinued in 2010, it was revived in 2020 as an all-electric GMC sub-brand.
