The "Austin Rover Mini" era specifically refers to the period after British Leyland was reorganised as the Rover Group (1984–2000). The model continued the Classic Mini's official Mark (Mk) numbering system. Mark V - British Leyland / Rover Group: 1984–1990. Mark VI - Rover Group: 1990–1996. Mark VII - Rover Group: 1996–2000.
