The Honda S 800, the cheekiest rascal among sports cars.

A character who has taken the world by storm, winning over devoted “wooden steering wheel” enthusiasts, young and old alike. A jewel of a sports car — small but exquisite, slim and agile like no other — fearlessly taking on the heaviest traffic and banishing parking problems altogether. Its appearance never goes unnoticed, whether on sophisticated Fifth Avenue or New Bond Street…

It also causes a sensation on the Champs-Élysées and Via Veneto…

On the road: a lightning-fast comet at 165 km/h… A breathtaking spectacle at full revs. A fiery engine, winner of countless Grand Prix and rally trophies. An tireless workhorse whose spirit and power leave even “larger” horses far behind!

COUPÉ “Gran Turismo” version with tilting rear window with automatic locking system.

Very, very spacious. Legendary Honda hospitality!

Generous bucket seats ensure a warm welcome in a refined and sporty interior: “wood-look” steering wheel, short and precise floor-mounted gear lever, matte-black instrument panel; clearly readable gauges and dials on a dark background. Exceptionally “spacious” also in its standard equipment: heater with three speeds, windshield wipers with two speeds, electric windshield washer, steering lock, lockable glove compartment and fuel cap, passenger grab handle, reversing light, etc.

“Spacious” too when it comes to usable room: an easily accessible luggage compartment offers space for two suitcases and a large bag.

City parking, on the other hand, was not designed to be overly generous: a space of just 3.30 m is sufficient, and the turning circle is minimal at 4.40 m.

An elegant and fully equipped instrument panel.

Gauges and meters, intelligently and practically arranged on a black background, clearly legible and in no way tiring to the eyes. Steering lock. “Wooden” steering wheel…

Highly sporty.

A remarkable 4-cylinder, 791 cc engine, extremely efficient thanks to twin overhead camshafts, four synchronized carburetors, a crankshaft mounted on needle bearings, and a scavenging pump with two separate filters…

The redline is only reached at 8,500 rpm — and even then it’s still in peak form!

Further features: four synchronized gears… Up front, independent suspension with torsion bars; at the rear, a rigid axle with coil springs — all designed for absolute stability. Radial tires for rock-solid road holding at high speeds… An exceptionally smooth hydraulically operated clutch… Rack-and-pinion steering… Disc brakes on the front wheels… A dual exhaust system.
