Power unlocked. A 2.8L four-cylinder diesel powertrain is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Designed on the TNGA-F platform, frame and overall rigidity have been increased by approx. 50% and 30% respectively compared to its predecessor, for enhanced manoeuvrability.

V-Active technology features a 48-volt motor-generator system that assists engine performance and regenerates through deceleration.
Power assistance. Enjoy the responsive drive feel from assisted acceleration with added torque.
Engine idling speed. V-Active technology reduces engine idling speed, enabling seamless, quiet restarts in stop-start traffic.
Regenerative energy. When decelerating, energy is recaptured to reduce fuel consumption (7.6L/100km obtained in laboratory tests and does not reflect real-world driving).
Smooth takeoff. The motor generator in the new LC Prado provides a quieter and quicker engine start.
AdBlue® is an odourless urea solution or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). DEF reduces vehicle emissions via the breakdown of nitrogen oxide with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology.
Reduced emissions. AdBlue® reduces nitrogen oxide emissions when injected into the exhaust stream, initiating a chemical reaction and breaking down nitrogen oxide into nitrogen, water and small amounts of CO2.
Engine performance. By reducing the amount of nitrogen oxides, AdBlue® can help ensure optimal engine performance, allowing your engine to run more smoothly and perform better.
Everyday reliability. Keeping your AdBlue® topped up is necessary as your vehicle cannot run without it. There is a dash display to help you check your levels with ease.
Easy refills. AdBlue® solution is stored separately from your fuel tank. Toyota AdBlue® can be refilled at a Toyota dealership. When you’re on the road, you can also top up at your nearest AdBlue® retailer/service station.

LandCruiser Prado’s advanced safety features include Toyota Safety Sense, designed to support safe driving and help protect you and your passengers.
Reversing camera. Manoeuvring is a breeze with a reversing camera offering a view of what’s behind, plus a Panoramic View Monitor providing a handy bird's eye view around your vehicle.
Pre-Collision Safety System. PCSS alerts you when a frontal collision is likely with another vehicle, pedestrian, or (during daylight) a cyclist. If a possible collision is detected, the vehicle will assist in applying brake pressure to help mitigate or prevent an accident.
Automatic High Beam. At night, the Automatic High Beam system will switch between high beam and low beam to ensure the best possible visibility for you and everyone else on the road.
Stay out of trouble. Pre-collision safety system (PCS) with pedestrian and daylight cyclist detection can sense other vehicles, pedestrians and during daylight, cyclists. It can help avoid or reduce the impact of a potential collision with an audio and visual alert, then by applying extra brake force if needed. It can even apply the brakes automatically if you don't. In some scenarios the LandCruiser 300 can use emergency steering assist to help you avoid a collision, and keep you in your lane once collision avoidance has been initiated[S1]. Road Sign Assist (Speed Signs Only). To help you stay aware of the current speed limit, front-mounted smart cameras recognise certain Australian speed signs and alert you when it’s time to change your speed.
Lane Departure Alert. LandCruiser Prado’s Lane Departure Alert [B12] system is designed to sense when you are veering out of your lane and adds steering effort and a warning to help you stay on course.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Using a host of safety sensors, DRCC helps to keep you moving at a pre-selected speed by accelerating and decelerating to maintain a gap with the traffic in front.
