Powered by the famous Rover V8 engine, with electronic ignition, power steering, self energising ride level units and wide track 195 steel radial tyres, the 8 delivers outstanding road holding and performance. The tables below show you how quick it is, and the outstanding fuel economy it achieves.

The superb style of the V8S is distinguished by a coach-line matched to the full range of Rover colours, all with a metal sun roof. The cast alloy wheels have a colour keyed gold or silver finish, the bumpers are finished in black chrome, the headlamps have wash/wipe units. The windows are cool, tinted glass all round. The windscreen is zone tinted Triplex Ten Twenty-the safest car windscreen in the world.

Body. 5 door, 5 seater saloon of unitary construction incorporating steel sun roof, zinc coated sills with pressure ventilation, undersealed underbody and wheel arches, wax injected door and bonnet panels.

Suspension. Independent front suspension Macpherson struts with anti-roll bar. Controlled live rear axle located by Watts linkage. Torque tube and radius arms, with coil springs and self energised self levelling dampers.
