Drawing on its high-speed track testing, Mitsubishi carefully planned the 3000GT's cockpit to reduce the gap between thinking and acting. Angled toward the driver, the distinctive deep and wide dashboard places all the necessary driving information well within the driver's range of vision. A steering wheel and gear shift knob of genuine leather complete the total sports-car feeling. A high-mount brake lamp is incorporated into the rear spoiler to ensure that the 3000GT is highly visible when braking.
A double throttle retur spring increases safety by ensuring that the throttle valve closes, and also provides a better pedal feel for safer, smoother deceleration.
