Why do we call them Active Drive? Because Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low can actively transition from 4x4 into fuelsaving front-wheel drive (FWD) for a welcome gain in fuel efficiency when the pavement runs smooth and calm. Just keep the Selec-Terrain® dial in Auto mode and Renegade will seamlessly match its Jeep engineered capability to the existing road conditions. Adjust the system’s Selec-Terrain dial to any other mode and 4x4 capability is always engaged.
KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Both Jeep Active Drive systems can keep you moving forward, even when just one wheel has traction on the ground.
