Driver Attention Alert (DAA): It monitors driving patterns in order to detect fatigued driving and prevent potential accidents. DAA analyses various vehicle behaviours, such as steering angle, steering torque, the vehicle’s position in the lane and driving time.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB): This system works with the Front Collision Warning System (FCWS) to actively support a your natural braking in a hazardous situation. If the risk of a collision is detected, it initially gives a visual and acoustic warning to the driver, before automatically applying the brakes.

Blind Spot Detector (BSD): A radar system in the rear of the car keeps you aware of vehicles that are following and potentially passing, informing you with an illuminated graphic in the wing mirror.

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) System with Lane Keep Assist (LKA): A camera mounted in the windshield recognises lane markings. If your car starts to drift over the lane markings, without a turn signal being applied, it activates a visual and acoustic alert.

The structure of the i30 was created using weight-saving Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS). Its impressive level of innovation doesn’t stop there - thanks to turbocharged engines, which have been ingeniously engineered not only for enhanced throttle response and low-end torque, but also for lightness. Compared with its predecessor, it saves 28kg in body weight - allowing you to go further between fuel stops.
