The engine-powered drivetrain is backed by an electric motor, resulting in advanced capability with extra power on board for all your towing needs, uphill and downhill.
Reverse easier than ever with Pro Trailer Back Up Assist. Simply turn the knob in the direction you want the trailer to move, and the system steers for you.
We’ve added 4 EV drive modes to enhance performance and efficiency. ‘Auto EV’ makes the decision for you. ‘EV Now’ runs your PHEV purely on electric power, reducing fuel consumption. ‘EV Later’ preserves battery charge for later use. Finally, ‘EV Charge’ uses the engine to top-up your battery.
Ranger PHEV’s modular hybrid transmission incorporates regenerative braking, allowing the driver to capture and store energy during braking, which would otherwise be lost. This has the added benefit of enhancing the towing experience and reducing wear on brakes.
With the same full-time Advanced 4x4 System as Ranger, Ranger PHEV gives you complete off-road confidence, including the added reassurance of a locking rear diff when you need more traction.
Just because it has a battery, doesn’t mean you have to worry about getting a little wet. The Ranger PHEV has the same ability as the rest of the family, with breathers on axles, transmission and transfer case all sitting above the rated waterline.
Standard across the range are various drive modes to help you navigate tricky terrain and channel more power, such as Mud & Ruts, Sand, and Tow & Haul modes.
Ranger PHEV has excellent underbody protection, shielding steering, sump and transmission.
Like all Rangers, the PHEV is designed to make driving more pleasurable. Electric drive keeps the cabin comfortably quiet. Large, integrated touchscreen puts everything at your fingertips, and smart Driver Assist features help take the stress out of the road.
