The Alfa GTV offers a choice of powerful and technically advanced engines: the mighty 3.2 V6 24V with 176 kW (240 hp), the innovative 2.0 JTS with 121 kW (165 hp), and the 2.0 Twin Spark 16V with 110 kW (150 hp). These engines, with their generous power reserves, are fitting for a thoroughbred sports car.
A six-cylinder V-engine with 24 valves and a displacement of 3179 cm³. With 176 kW (240 hp) at 6200 rpm and a maximum torque of 289 Nm at 4800 rpm, the 3.2 V6 can propel the Alfa GTV to a top speed of 255 km/h. This makes the new sports coupé the fastest production car in Alfa Romeo's history. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and can cover a standing kilometer in 25.8 seconds. These record-breaking performances guarantee pure and exciting driving pleasure on any road. And because the engine delivers plenty of pulling power even at low rpm, it is also perfectly suited for daily use in busy traffic.
The first Alfa Romeo engine with direct petrol injection. And, as befits an Alfa Romeo engine, it has more power and, more importantly, more torque than other petrol engines with direct injection. The 2.0 JTS delivers 121 kW (165 hp) at 6400 rpm, which corresponds to a specific output of over 60 kW/liter (82 hp/liter)! All while complying with the strict Euro 4 emission standards. With the 2.0 JTS, the Alfa GTV's top speed is 220 km/h. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and covers a standing kilometer in 29.2 seconds.
A modern 16-valve engine that continues Alfa Romeo's successful tradition of two-liter engines. A four-cylinder with twin ignition for faster and cleaner combustion. It delivers excellent performance, even at low rpm, thanks to the variable intake system and adjustable valve timing. The two counter-rotating balance shafts ensure vibration-free operation, comparable to a six-cylinder. The 110 kW (150 hp) 2.0 Twin Spark gives the Alfa GTV a top speed of 215 km/h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.
The Alfa GTV gives you the enjoyable feeling of mastering the road. Even when reaching the adhesion limits, the car is still easy to control. Changes of direction can be executed smoothly and in a balanced manner. The comfort level is high, regardless of the driving conditions and road surface. The stable road holding and generous power reserve allow you to handle unexpected situations without problems, such as sudden evasive maneuvers or tendencies to break out that require quick counter-steering. Special materials like magnesium and aluminum alloys ensure a low specific weight. The Alfa GTV's independent front suspension is combined with an aluminum rear axle with a multi-link system. This "multilink" system uses the lateral forces exerted on the car in a turn to optimize the rear-wheel geometry.
The result is perfectly controllable road handling that makes the Alfa GTV a true sports coupé.
The excellent handling is also due to the enormous torsional rigidity of the body and the variable-assist steering. The powerful and effective braking system includes generously sized disc brakes all around, operated by a four-channel ABS system with sensors on all wheels and an integrated Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). In addition, an advanced Electronic Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) is available to ensure maximum grip and cornering stability on poor and slippery roads (standard on the 3.2 V6 and 2.0 JTS).
Occupants are protected by airbags, seat belts with electronically operated tensioners, a collapsible steering column, reinforcement beams in the doors, and a Fire Prevention System (FPS).
The dynamic character of the Alfa GTV is also expressed in the interior. The cockpit is designed around the driver, and the low seating position enhances the sporty driving experience. The anatomically shaped seats, with adjustable headrests and differentiated firmness, offer excellent lateral support even in fast corners.
The fully adjustable three-spoke steering wheel is covered in soft leather, as is the gear knob. Directly in front of the driver are the clearly legible speedometer and tachometer. They are a modern interpretation of the large, round gauges found in sporty Alfa models of the past. At night, the instruments and switches are illuminated in red. All controls are in the right place: directly within easy reach and intuitive to operate.
The black, heavily rounded dashboard includes a prominent center console, which comes standard with a Blaupunkt radio with a CD player. A radio with an integrated navigation system, in combination with a CD changer, is available as an option. The control panel for the automatically regulated air conditioning with a pollen filter is also located in the center console, as is a push-button to disable the ASR function if necessary.
Exclusive materials, first-class finishing, and harmonious color combinations. In the Alfa GTV, sportiness and style are inextricably linked, and this also applies to the interior trim. There are three different interior ambiances available.
First, there is an interior in extra-soft, high-quality leather for those who desire maximum refinement in a sports car. There is a choice of three colors: Nero Brillante, Rosso Jerez, and Cuoio Tango. The door panels feature leather inserts with the same pattern as the seat upholstery.
In addition, there is upholstery in two types of techno-fabric — Super Soft and the new Alfatex — in a refined color combination: solid black for the sides and black with a barely visible silver-colored weave for the center sections.
Finally, two special leather-finished interior designs are available by order: Blue Style and Red Style. These are two different styles for those who want to distinguish themselves clearly and with class.
